NAMES CHANGED

Mana Aida - Mana Ricefield

Mana means love, but I think it could work for an American audience.

Aida haves "rice field" in the "Da".

Rikka Hishikawa - Crystal Glace

I decided to call her Crystal because her diamond powers make crystals.

And Glace means Ice in French.

Arisu Yotsuba - Alice Cloverleaf

Arisu is Alice's Japanese spelling.

Yotsuba means "four leafs", so I named her Cloverleaf.

Makoto Kenzaki - Ella Swordblade

There's a singer named Ella in real life.

Swordblade references her powers.

Aguri Madoka - Ruby Acecard

Rubies are red.

Acecard references her powers.

Sharuru - Charlie

Her name can be romanized to Charles, but she's female, so I named her Charlie.

Raquel - Rick

I named her Rick because Raquel's a female name and he's a boy.

Lance retains his name.

Davi - Dina

Davi is derived from David and she's a girl so, like with Raquel/Rick, I used a name similar to Davi, Dina.

    Ai - Lily

Ai means "love".

Lily means "cute", she's cute.

Ira and Marmo retain their names.

Bel - Slothy

Bel is named after a demon named Belphegor that represents sloth.

Regina retains her name.

Leva - Jeal

Leva is named after a demon named Leviathan that represents envy.

So I named him Jeal (from jealous).

Gula retains his name.

King Jikochuu - Evil King

Jikochuu means "Selfish".

But he's evil, soooooo...

Proto Jikochuu - Gargoyle

He kinda looks like a Gargoyle.

Jikochuu - Darkbeast

It's literally a beast that came out of the dark.

Princess Marie Ange - Princess Mary Angela

Marie is Mary in French.

Ange is "angel" in French, I named her Angela.

Joe Okada - Joe Kehr

A reference to he being based on the joker card.

Sebastian retains his name.

- Oogai Town is called Seaplace Town.

- The Trump Kingdom retains it's name.

TRIVIA:

-Alice is British.

-Episodes 12, 28 and 32 are deleted.

-Episodes 14 and 15 are combined due to 14 having lots of Japanese culture and some scenes that are important to the plot.

-Aguri/Ruby's grandma is Japanese.

-The series is split into 2 seasons.
